Very much interested in facilitating business contacts I found in BC the right environment to do so.

Born in Brussels and raised in West Flanders Studied Real Estate and Economics in Ostend Active in the Real Estate business since 25 years for International Brokers and Asset Management Companies Based in Bucharest since 2009, I find my place in BC very quickly and appreciate networking/exchange information very useful Good to join the BC team, which helped me a lot when I came to Bucharest.

Antoniu Panait
Romanian citizen born and raised in Bucharest, graduated the Law University, fluently speaking beside Romanian language, English and Hungarian.
During career I had the opportunity to gather, in different fields of activity, a comprehensive experience in the very dynamic and challenging environment of the Romanian market, known to have permanent changes since the Revolution. Successfully started up and managed few companies, currently Managing Director of Interprime Properties S.R.L. a Romanian company duly incorporated and part of a multinational real estate investment group.
Pleasantly surprised by the invitation and gladly accepted to be part of the Belgian Connection team effort to improve the business environment in Romania.
Cristian Stanculescu
Cristian Stanculescu is the Founder and the Managing Partner of OPTIM Group.
Cristian set up OPTIM Consulting in 2004 and began to advise local and foreign clients on fiscal and tax issues.
His responsibilities included, among others: performing business development activities and monitoring new business opportunities for the clients; negotiating, organizing, coordinating and monitoring client investments in Romania; assisting foreign clients in their negotiations with Romanian ministries and other state institutions, Chambers of Commerce and other authorities.
From 2001 to 2004, he acted as Fiscal and Administrative Procedures Consultant for TPA Horwath in Bucharest.
With more than nine years of experience of working with multinationals and foreign investors, Cristian holds a very good understanding of both the demands and needs of those interested to invest in Romania.
He has developed strong working relationships with the Belgian and Dutch Business Communities in Romania, based on his successfully carrying out specific projects for various Belgian and Dutch investors.
From 2005 to 2006, Cristian was a National Board member and Treasurer of Junior Chamber International Romania. JCI is the largest organization for leaders and entrepreneurs in the world, with alumni such as Bill Clinton, Jacques Chirac, Kofi Annan, Gerald R. Ford, and Prince Albert of Monaco.
In 2010, Cristian became part of the Board of Directors of Belgian Connections were is representing Romanians into the 5 persons Board of Directors. His Excellency Leo D'aes, the Belgian Ambassador is sustaining the organization. During the monthly meetings are offered opportunities to the members to meet and share ideas with the local authorities and with members of other business communities.
He holds a B.A in Economy from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and a second degree in Law, studied a Negotiation Course with Harvard University and is doing a MBA with Cambridge University.
A native of Romania, Cristian speaks English fluently and understanding of Dutch, French and Italian.
